Army, SOG searches Surankote forests

Srinagar: Army and SOG personnel on Monday carried out cordon and search operations in Surankote Poonch. According to PBI, Army’s 16 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG cordoned off Murd Chawani forest area in Surankote on the tip-off about the presence of militants. The joint team carried out search operations till noon and failed to trace the militants.
 SSP Poonch, Ashkoor Wani confirmed that the search operations were launched.

IGP promotes 93 SGCTs

CRPF officer dies in Sopore
