Kashmir issue passing through crucial phase: JKLF( R)

Srinagar, Feb 19: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R ) chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bita Karatey and senior vice-chairman Javid Ahmad Mir on Saturday claimed that Kashmir issue was presently passing through a crucial phase and any further delay in its resolution would be extremely detrimental to peace in South Asia.
 “Since peace and prosperity of south Asia hinges on resolution of Kashmir issue, any further delay by India and Pakistan in its resolution in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people of state will prove fatal for the peoples’ prosperity of the region,” said the Front leaders in a joint statement today.
 The Front leaders expressed serious concern over the continued detention of pro-freedom leaders including Er. Farooq Khan, Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, M Qasim, Abdul Gani Goni, Muhammad Lateef  Waja, Nasir Lagandyar, Masrat Alam, Asiya Andrabi, Fahmida , Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Yasmeen Raja,  Gen Musa , M Ashraf Sehrai, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, Mian Qayoom, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, Javid Najar, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat and hundreds of youth including students from various areas of state. “Some of these detainees despite having completed span of life imprisonments are still languishing in jails,” they said, demanding immediate release of all the detainees.
