The Generation Present
THE YOUNG ONES NEED TO BE GUIDED BY EXAMPLE WRITES SYED ARSHAD HUSSAIN KASHANI
Humans are born, live for a particular period of time and die. Each individual has a role. Mental and physical health of the persons in charge reflects the health of the nation. The present is handled and affected by the persons in charge of different responsibilities. But these are to be replaced by the future generation and depending upon its ability and thought the change is on bound to happen. Among this generation our future political leadership, our able administration, our torch bearers guiding the future is to come; so its upbringing today will script the corresponding future of nation. Addressing the future begins from the young ones as how we groom them to face the challenge of the time. Today the way young generation is being taken care of, fed, guided, ignored or lead gives a horrific picture.
The leaders need to evaluate ways and means, system, infrastructure to fulfill the requirement of the individual on the one hand and at the same time use the potential human resource in the nation building. The irony is that most of our brilliant brains, human resource is misused, misguided and misrepresented. There is no bigger misfortune for any nation that its young generation is healthy, available and capable but kept docile and ultimately turned into a defunct army, absolutely of no use. Among those who some how excel most find their needs met outside where they may fulfill their personal targets but the dark side of it is that our potential human resource is made to work for and develop others nations.
Our nation is to be built by us and not by aids. We are lagging behind in vital aspects compared to even minnows around us. Our political set up is in chaos and by our direct support or acting indifferent, we are encouraging the exploiters.
Politics plays a pivotal role in the governance and it is the duty of every Muslim to see to it that he is ruled or led by the able ones. It is the best and efficient brains that are needed for any nation to control its politics, and policies for better future.
A good amount of our better brains have left this place to address their personal needs either because of the poor infrastructure here or for the lust of extra money; thus crippling the nation by the brain drain. Those present here are the potential lot provided taken care of properly. However the significant amount is on the wrong path and no proper attempt is underway to get them back on line. Neither we segregate the talent for the constructive purposes in respective areas nor do we provide guidance and avenues to let them come out from darkness towards light where they can address their own needs, that of their families, society, and ultimately the nation. The tall leaders around have made Kashmir an experimental place with the masses serving as guinea pigs to be experimented upon. One day they give fatwa to participate in a given process, create euphoria which may consume good number of lives and property and another day for the same process fatwa is out to abstain from; with same intensity and similar consequences.
We have a clear guidance from Allah to equip ourself with the best possible to fight against the evil, outside and within. If anything is deemed useful, we should have the advocates of the same and their family members should be apart of that practice’ it should start from home. They just shoot the statements from their rest rooms and rest it is the different segments that take the burden of it. For them there is the caution as Allah says, “O you who believe! Why do you say something which you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do.”
Let’s do justice to our future and guide our future towards better in terms of every thing a nation is in need of.
