Irrelevant issue

This refers to the debate on the issue of PDP’s Kashmir map recently displayed in a press conference and the reaction of the state and central leaders to it. The issue is irrelevant as far as the Kashmir problem and the people at large are concerned. These are no issues for the Kashmiri people in so far as the present political situation and set up of Kashmir is concerned. Such things are only meant to confuse.
The Kashmir map has been shown by the political party in three different colours representing the areas with India, Pakistan and China. This is the present physical ground status of the territory of Jammu and Kashmir. I do not understand what is wrong in it and why there is need to react so strongly on this. The only thing I can understand from the statement of PDP is that they have demanded Kashmir to be declared as a Free Trade Zone and opening of trade routes. Also it transpires that they intend to remain silent on the political side of the issue and only ask for such minor concessions like Free Trade Zone, Opening of Trade Routes, Dual currency etc. The Kashmir based politicians should know that Kashmiris are not so obsessed with Free Trade Zones, Dual Currency and opening of Trade Routes. I wish their conscience wakes them up and they understand people. It would be better if such political parties come clean on the issue more important to people of this place.
