2 labourers injured in quarry mishap

Srinagar, Feb 22: Two labourers were wounded in a mishap at a stone quarry at Kralpora Verinag, Islamabad (Anantnag).
 According to the police, the wounded has been identified as Tanveer Ahmad Shah, 25, son of Abdul Ahad and Abdul Aziz Kumar, 60, son of Abdul Ahad of Tokerpora Verinag.
 The duo has been hospitalized, police added.

BODY RECOVERED
 Police has recovered a body of a man of about 25-years-old from the premises of SMHS hospital here.
 According to police, the deceased was reportedly a destitute roaming in and around the hospital for the last one month.
 Anybody having any information regarding the identity of the deceased shall report to police station Karan Nagar or call 9419087003, police added.

ILLICIT TIMBER SEIZED, 2 HELD
 Police has seized 25 logs of illicit timber from a truck (JK03A-8290) at Gadoole Kokernag Islamabad (Anantnag) arresting two persons.
 The arrested are: Abdul Rashid Rana son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Fremah Gadoole, Kokernag and Abdul Majeed Bhat son of Muhammad Ramzan of Wanihama Dialgam.

LEOPARD INJURES MAN
 A leopard attacked and injured a man at Kawari near Ziyarat Sharief, Kupwara.
 According to the police, the wounded has been identified as Altaf Hussain son of Abdul Khaliq of Kawari. The wounded has been hospitalized, police added.

3 DRUG PEDDLERS HELD
 Police has arrested three drug peddlers from main Bus Stand in Baramulla recovering 5 kilograms of charas from their possession.
 The arrested are: Abdul Rashid Najar son of Muhammad Shaban Najar of Trikanjan, Boniyar, Nisar Ahmad Khan son of Gul Zaman of Trikanjan Boniyar and Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Magray son of Ghulam Rasool of Kandikhas, Kupwara.

3 GAMBLERS ARRESTED
 Police has arrested three gambles from Kunzer Tangmarg seizing Rs 7645 kept as proceed.
