‘More flats at Jmu, Sgr for officials soon’

Jammu Feb 23: CM’s Advisor, Mubarak Gul today said the Government was working on a proposal to create additional accommodation for the stay of officials in Jammu and Srinagar.
Addressing a meeting convened to review the functioning of the Estates Department, Gul said the Government had a proposal for acquiring 150 kanals of land at Sidhra and Bari Brahmna for construction of new residential flats for officials. He said about 100 kanals of land had been acquired at Pampore where buildings would be constructed for the residential purposes of employees adding 51 modern type flats would be constructed at Nishat for senior   functionaries in the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary.
