BOPEE declares result for MD, MS courses in 36 hrs

Jammu, Feb 23: Board of Professional Entrance Examinations has declared the result of MD/MS/PG Diploma courses and MDS course-2011 including generation of selection list and merit list within 36 hours creating a record of sorts, this year.
 The Board conducted entrance test for admission to these courses on February 20 simultaneously at Srinagar and Jammu.
 At least 300 candidates have been selected for various courses at the twin medical colleges of the State. Sabeeha Gul daughter of Ghulam Muhammad Bazaz has secured the highest (248) marks in the test.
 This is for the fist time that the Board will complete admission process for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses and MDS course-2011 by March and this has created history in admissions to these courses in J&K.
 Official statement said the evaluation and process of answer scripts numbering around 4000 were completed in just 36 hours.
 The Board said this was the improvement over last year when the results for this examination were declared in 56 hours.
 “To bring transparency in the system the Board had notified that in the event of any discrepancy in the question paper same should be brought to the notice of the BOPEE within two working days and number of representations were received and were considered,” the statement said.
 The entire process of result generation and evaluation was conducted under the supervision of the chairman BOPEE, Mustaq Ahmad Peer and Controller of Examinations, Gopal Gupta. 
 The statement said the counseling of selected candidates will commence from March 4 to March 8.
