FCIK welcomes railway factory for JK

Srinagar, Feb 25: Valley’s apex industrial chamber, the Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) today welcomed the announcement on railway bridge factory in J&K.
President FCIK Afaq Qadiri talking to Greater Kashmir from Jammu said this is a welcome step and it would hopefully help the industry in the state.
To mention, Union Railway Minister, Mamata Banerjee Friday in her railway budget 2011 announced a railway bridge factory in Jammu and Kashmir.
Presenting the Railway budget in the Lok Sabha, Mamata also announced a state-of-art Institute for Tunnel and Bridge Engineering at Jammu.
Afaq said the engineers and entrepreneurs in Kashmir have worked with IRCON and have enough of experience of railway projects. “This announcement could help the industry as well as create employment in the state,” he said.
