CBMs needed

This refers to the news “Fingers kept crossed for summer unrest: PM.” Politicians, in New Delhi or Jammu and Kashmir, should not play up the issue and keep commenting on possibility of summer unrest in the Valley. We must acknowledge the fact that such unrests are not good for the society and ultimately lead to destruction of life and property. The victims of 2010 unrest are yet to get justice. Instead of speaking continuously on the issue, it is better if the politicians make efforts to stabilize the Valley. It is good to see the situation in the Valley returning to normal gradually. In this scenario, what is badly required is certain real Confidence Building Measures from New Delhi. Instead of resorting to arrest of youth again, police must release the youth as a CBM. That would pave way for peace. The arrests have the potential to trigger protests. This must be avoided in the larger interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
