Fake currency racket busted, 6 held

Islamabad: Police here has claimed to have busted a fake currency racket by arresting six persons. Giving details about the crime, SSP, Islamabad (Anantnag) said, “On a specific information, police on February 22 found that Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat alias Doctor son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Nadoor, Dooru in association with a non-local Shahnawaz son of Sadam Ali of T-402 Gautum Puri, New Delhi presently residing at Cheeni Chowk, Islamabad procured scanner and other allied material including Computer, paper, Laser printer etc. from Delhi worth Lakhs needed for the production of the currency notes.”
 He alleged that Mushtaq and Shahnawaz roped in Ajaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Gani Bhat of Sofigund Kulgam. Asif Rehman Ganaie son of Abdul Rehman of Khudwani, Kulgam, Manzoor Ahmad Dar son of Wali Muhammad of Muniwad and Sareer Ahmad Dar son of Nazir Ahmad Dar of Harnag, Islamabad.
