Fertility camp organized at Zazuna

Ganderbal, Feb 27: With view to address the repeat breeding and other fertility related problems in dairy cows, a fertility camp at village Zazuna, Ganderbal was organised by Animal Husbandry Department under RKVY.
 About 38 cases were attended by the team of doctors Azhar, Anwar and Moieen under the supervision of Dr K A Zargar Chief AH Officer Ganderbal. The team could detect half a dozen cases of Cystic Ovarian Degeneration among a host of problem animals including some Pyometra, Mucometra and metritis. Apart from the medicines provided by the Block Veterinary Office, Wakura a pvt MNC Virbac also contributed medicines for free distribution among the farmers. The farmers while appreciating the departmental efforts demanded that a sustained campaign needs to be carried out by the department to help the poor farmers in preventing production losses due to infertility.
