I-T Deptt officials bid adieu to G R Sufi

Jammu, Feb 27: The officials of Income Tax department accorded warm farewell to Ghulam Rasool Sufi, the chief commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar, on his superannuation.
 A memento on behalf of officers was presented to Ghulam Rasool Sufi by Ravi Sarangal, Commissioner of Income Tax, Jammu and Kashmir.
 Senior officials of the state government, GOC Tiger Division and functionaries of Central government departments  in Jammu were present on the occasion.
 In his farewell speech, Sufi shared his experiences during his career in the organization as well as his stint in the state.
Ghulam Rasool is an IRS Officer of 1977 Batch and has done MA (Political Science) and M.Phil from JNU. He also completed his MBA from Hull University, UK
 He served in different capacities in Jammu, Srinagar, Mumbai, Amritsar and Chennai.
 He has also written dissertations on British Foreign Policy and on Revival of International Tourism in J&K .
 He has been designated as First Chief Information Commissioner of J&K State.
