Grenade attack on Kar’s residence

Sopore, Feb 2: Unidentified gunmen Wednesday fired rifle grenade towards the house of veteran Congress leader Ghulam Rasool Kar in this north Kashmir town.
Police sources told Greater Kashmir that unidentified gunmen lobbed rifle grenade on former Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ghulam Rasool Kar‘s residence near town hall at 10:20 am.
“The grenade fell in the courtyard of Kar’s house damaging windowpanes of the house,” they said.
The private vehicle bearing number SL2CAA-3AA0375 also suffered partial damage in the incident.
Kar along with his family members was in his house at the time of attack.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, superintendent of police Sopore Altaf Ahmed Khan said that grenade lobbed by the militants fell in the courtyard of Kar.
