Srinagar, Feb 3: A function was held at the residence of Sufi Poet, late Ahad Zargar at Narwara Iddgah in Shahr-e-Khaas. The function was organized by Ahad Zargar Foundation.
 Columnist Prof Ghulam Rasool Malik presided over the function while Vice-Chancellor, Central University, Prof Abdul Wahid Qureshi was the chief guest on the occasion. The eminent writers and the poets including Prof Margoob Banhali and Prof Rehman Rahi were also present on the occasion.
 Divisional Commissioner, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon was presented award by the Ahad Zargar Research Foundation for his “best administrative capabilities”. The Foundation awarded well known Journalist,  Yousuf Jameel for his services in the field of Journalism, while other two awards were presented to poet Amin Kaamil for his literary work and Bakshi Abdul Qayoom for his social services.
 The magazine of Ahad Zargar Foundation Rang Bar was also released on the occasion.
 Later Samoon visited interior adjacent areas where various deputations met him with their problems. Dr Samoon assured them that their problems would be redressed.
