Govt committed to transparent, accountable governance: Rana
Jammu Feb 4: CM’s Political Advisor, Devender Singh Rana today said the coalition government was committed to transparency and accountability in the governance.
“Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is determined to improve the government’s delivery system and fight corruption,” Rana said while interacting with the Super-30 batch of civil service aspirants, being selected and trained by Muhammad Shafi Pandit, former chairman PSC.
Rana said transparency and accountability was the mantra for good governance and a transparent and accountable system of governance could ensure eradication of corruption.
He said implementation of RTI Act, appointment of State Chief Information Commissioner, commissioning of e-tendering and e-procurement, holding of Awami Durbars, setting up of CM’s Grievance Cell holding of Panchayat elections and setting up of State Vigilance Commission and State Accountability Commission were steps towards ensuring transparency and accountability in the system.
