HC directs police to recover woman

Bandipora, Feb 5: The High Court has directed Jammu and Kashmir police to recover an abducted woman whom the family alleged was kidnapped by masked ‘government gunmen’ on December 8 last year
 The court gave this direction to the police after hearing a petition filed by the family members.
 The family members alleged that the police have failed to make any breakthrough in a kidnapping of a mother of four children in Chitaaybandy village of Bandipora.
 “Even after two months of the kidnapping, the police have neither recovered the women nor arrested the prime suspect,” the members said.
 The court directed the police to ensure presence 38 year-old Bibi Jan of Argam Chitaaybandy Bandipora on next day of hearing.
 “We visited officials in the district and staged protests to draw the attention of authorities but of no avail,” said Shafia Bania, husband of Bibi Jan.
