‘Restore Cultural Academy’s autonomy’
Jammu, Feb 6: Impressing upon the Government to formulate a comprehensive programme to develop regional cultures and languages, two literary organizations of J&K on Sunday sought CM’s intervention to restore the autonomy of Academy of Art, Culture and Language.
Addressing media here, the representatives of Dogri Sanstha, Jammu and Adbee Markaz Kamraz expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of different State institutions establish to development of regional cultures.
“Cultural academy is facing acute financial crunch due to officialdom,” they said and appealed to the CM to take immediate steps and direct the concerned to release all funds to Academy pending with them since May 2010.
