Offset printing coursers in ITIs on cards

Jammu, Feb 7: The government is contemplating to introduce offset printing technology courses in the Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for which modalities have been worked out said Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports Prof. R. S. Chib.
 The Minister was speaking at a function organised by the J&K Offset Printers Association in collaboration with Kashmir Times and Dainik Jagran.
 Prof. Chib said that central government has launched Skill Development Mission under which youth are being given training in various trades to overcome the problem of unemployment in the state.
 He highlighted the importance of Offset printing saying that it has attained great heights with lot of scope for employment. Keeping in view, the new technological changes, he said it is imperative that the work force is trained accordingly. He underscored the need for encouraging the local private printing industry in the state. He also appreciated the idea for establishing a separate printing technology hub and giving fillip to printing technology in the state.
