Youth oriented policies will make JK self-reliant: G H Mir
GK NEWS NETWORK
Islamabad (Anantnag), Feb 7: President of Democratic Party Nationalists and Agriculture Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir today urged the political leadership to work for making JK self-reliant saying the goal could be achieved by ‘formulating youth oriented policies and planning.’
Addressing a convention here, Mir said the focus of our political endeavors was to see the Kashmiri youth, economically independent, politically empowered and socially responsible. “I want to take them out from hopelessness and desperation in which they are trapped and I assure you that my party would give a genuine hope and a distinct way forward,” he said.
Without naming separatists, Mir said, “Till now our leaders and political class have shown Kashmiri youth the way to graveyard.” “DPN will show youth the path to prosperity, education, knowledge and dignified life.”
Referring to the government’s initiative to empower the people at the grass root level, Mir called upon the youth to choose the dedicated, honest, upright and educated representatives in upcoming Panchayat polls.
He asked the youth to defeat the ‘evil designs’ of certain leaders and participate in these elections whole heartedly for the prosperity and peace of JK.
