3 Hizb militants killed: Police

Jammu, Feb 8: Police on Tuesday said that three top militants, including the commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, were killed in a gunfight in Jammu’s Ramban district.   
 “Soldiers launched searches near Srinagar-Jammu highway at Manjote-Nachlana beltthis morning,” Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Manish Sinha said. “Militants present there opened fire on the search party which was retaliated triggering an encounter in which three militants were killed.”    
 He identified the slain militants as Hizb commander Abdul Rashid Naik alias Kari Zubair, Nisar Ahmed alias Mansoor and Mushtaq Ahmed.
