Learn lesson

The Home Minister P Chidambaram has rightly appreciated the Jammu and Kashmir Government for firm handling of the January 26 situation in its monthly report. The BJP must learn a lesson from its failure in Kashmir: that Kashmiris are not the species which can be taken for a ride. Kashmiris are a peaceful people and want to live a life of dignity. But actions like the one by BJP provoke the people. The Home Minister is right; BJP should not have crossed over to J&K as it is a sensitive State which is yet to come out of the 2010 shock. Let political parties work toward the betterment of J&K rather than playing petting politics over it.
