‘Erratic power’ irks Shamasabad Sector 3
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Jan 10: The residents of Shamasabad Sector-3 Bemina, have complained of erratic power supply in the area.
“One part of our colony often reels under darkness owing to some line fault in the transmission network… The moment electricity comes, it goes off,” the residents said adding that the problem had been there for the past over a year.
“The authorities are yet to install electric meters in houses of some blue eyed people, who are consuming electricity lavishly and use heaters, boilers and other gadgets thereby burdening the transformer feeding three colonies,” they said.
“We have been desperately asking the concerned officials to rectify the fault permanently and end our ordeal, but all in vain,” said a local Muhammad Amin.
The residents said: “We request the concerned authorities to install electric meters in entire colony so that the overload is minimized and all inhabitants receive electricity in a proportionate and judicious manner.”
They appealed the concerned Executive Engineer, Power Development Department too into the matter.
