DDC TO CHAIR URDU PROMOTION COMMITTEE

Srinagar, Jan 10: To promote Urdu and redress various issues of Urdu Academy, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Samoon has constituted a committee of officers under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Meraj Ahmad Kakroo.
An official handout said other members of the committee include Vice- Chairman, SDA, Joint Director Education Department, Kashmir, Joint Director Information Department, Kashmir, Additional Secretary, Cultural Academy Kashmir, President Urdu Academy, Secretary Urdu Academy and Vice President Urdu Academy, Srinagar.
The Divisional Commissioner asked the committee to submit an interim report within a month for further appropriate action in the matter.
