Let no Injeela lose her brother again

A lot of hue and cry has been raised over the eve-teasers allegedly on a killing spree on the Airport Road, a hub of swanky tuition centres. And, my point is why not to raise the alarm? We have a reason to do it. Precious lives are being lost, like the one in case of Aatif Ahmed Dar whose sister recently wrote her ordeal in We the Srinagarites column.
Accused of such killer accidents shouldn’t be spared. We pray that the justice should come at an earliest so that no other Injeela has to suffer the pain of losing her brother.
But then there’s another issue which needs to be looked into. The Airport Road design and speed limits need to be revised so that even the changes of any mishap are avoided. Quite sometime back even the Sanat Nagar square was in the news for its faulty design, but what exactly has been to correct it. The answer is nothing! Now, that we the students have lost another friend, we protest against the eve-teasers and the engineers for such poor engineering works, which have claimed many lives on and around the Airport Road and the adjoining Hyderpora bypass.
