‘Undertake repairs of orphanage wall’

Srinagar, Jan 13: The residents of Bachi Darwaza Maqdoom Sahib on Thursday accused the Government of resorting to dilly-dallying tactics to repair retaining wall of an orphanage hostel managed by the Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust there.
 A delegation from the area told Greater Kashmir that the retaining wall of the orphanage hostel was damaged in 2005.
 “The damage to the retaining wall has put lives of the inmates at risk. Though senior officials including Chief Engineers of R&B department had made an on-the-spot assessment of the damage, however the repairs have not yet been made,” the residents said. They urged the concerned authorities to resolve the matter at the earliest.
