Residents demand dispensary at CD hospital
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Jan 13: The residents of Dalgate have demanded start of 24-hour emergency medical dispensary at the Chest Disease Hospital there.
A delegation from the area told Greater Kashmir that though the authorities during past few years upgraded the infrastructure of the hospital, however in absence of 24-hour emergency services, they face immense hardships.
“In case of medical emergencies we have to shift the patients to other hospitals. This sometimes complicates the problems of the patients who are in dire need of medicare. The hospital caters to patients with chest ailments from across the Valley. Despite social problems and risk to our health, we have never objected to the functioning of CD hospital in our area. It is the moral responsibility of the concerned authorities to provide the locals medicare facilities,” they said. The residents urged the Minister of Health to look into the matter at the earliest.
