Burglaries solved, 10 held

Srinagar, Jan 14: The police claimed to have solved some burglary cases by arresting 10 persons including non-locals adding that some valuables have been recovered.
 A police handout identified the arrested as: Firdous Ahmad, Muhammad Rafiq, Rouf Ahmad, Shah Nawaz residents of Khonmoh; Nazir Ahmad alias Mitha of Karfali Mohalla Srinagar; Feroz Ahmad Haroon alias Amma of Samerbug Lasjan.
 Besides the handout identified the non local accused as: Muhammad Zahoor alias Hadi of Bishnpur Kolkata, Muhammad Qutub of of 24 Paragan Kolkata, Zahid-ul-Hassan of Pauper Sargis Kolkata and Muhammad Shahid of Ulbaria Hawrah Kolkata.
 Police said six motorcycles and four cars were recovered apart from other valuables including laptops, computers, cameras, utensils and clothing.
 Pertinently in the past over a year, several cases of theft were reported but the City police remained clueless in cracking most of them.
