Cabinet discusses flag-hoisting row

Jammu, Jan 14: State cabinet discussed the plan by the youth wing of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) to hoist tri-colour at Lal Chowk Srinagar and its repercussions on the law and order situation.
“Though the matter was not on agenda the cabinet discussed the issue”, one of the cabinet ministers said.
He said that it was unanimously resolved that the matter be discussed with various security agencies operating in the state before taking any final decision.
“The government would take decision whether to allow the BJP rally to march towards Kashmir or not after consultation with the security agencies,” sources maintained.
