Cleaning of drains leaves Jawahir Nagar messy

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Jan 14: The UEED got some of the drains in the Jawahir Nagar area cleaned but left the filth dumped on the main roads, the locals have complained.
They said the movement of vehicles lead to the spill of the sewage on the entire road stretch near the Government Higher Secondary School and adjoining areas.
“This speaks volumes about the callousness of the authorities that even though they cleaned the drains, they didn’t bother to pick the sewage and other waste,” said a delegation of residents led by Javed Ashai adding that they have filmed the entire scene in mobile phone.
Despite repeated attempts the UEED officials couldn’t be contacted for comment.
