GOC CHAIRS CORE GROUP MEET

Srinagar, Jan 14: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Chinar Corps  Lt Gen S A Hasnain, who is also the Security Advisor to Chief Minister, on Friday chaired the Core Group meeting held at Chinar Corps Badami Bagh here, a defence spokesman said. 
 He said the meeting was attended by Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda, senior army, police CRPF, BSF and other officials. 
 Lt Gen Hasnain, according to the spokesman, “Complimented the high level of synergy that exists between all instruments of national and state power in addressing the security concerns of the Valley.”
 He emphasized that the army had declared 2011 as the year of the ‘Kashmiri Awam’.
 While addressing the meeting the DGP spoke about the present  security issues. “The meeting deliberated on the prevailing external environment and carried out a holistic introspection of the way ahead,” the spokesman added.
