Grading is normally done by fruit growers and vegetable venders to maintain the quality of their products. Now BOSE has adopted the same technique to grade students according to their ability. Those with difference of ten marks are put in one basket just to maintain the quality of ten probables of different qualities  at par with each other which is quite unjust and in sheer disregard of rules and regulations of competitive examinations where even points matter in the rank to get higher percentage in written/viva-voce. By a minus decimal one, an aspirant is being deprived of his hard work/talent in the competitive exam while as in grading no consideration of merit is even for ten marks. 
                    Recently declared results of Class 10th proved faulty and most of meritorious candidates were shocked to see their results when ghost like E1 & E2 was shown in one or two subjects against their Roll numbers. As an instance I would like to quote example of Roll No: 852220 to whom 473 marks have been awarded with cumulative average grade point 7.60  against four subjects other than Science against which E2 in theory and A1 in practical has been awarded, thus declared failed in science as per Notification issued by  JKBOSE under No: F(Academic Gr scheme)CU/10/8 Dated: 19.5.2010 as per resolution no: 5 of Examination Committee meeting held on 27.4.2010. Thus my son received number of calls from his friends and relatives why he has lost the game of topping the merit since his admission in TBS as a Nursery student in 1999. He got stuck and shocked and is still dejected. He has lost faith in evaluation of BOSE as his followers in and outside his school have been elevated to higher ranks.
       In order to regain the faith of talented lot and their parents following suggestion are put forth before JK BOSE:
 Accountability and accuracy is maintained in conventional method of numerical marking. The selection of Evaluators by BOSE for evaluation of papers must be on the basis of merit and suitability not on first come first serve basis just for earnings. There is every possibility of a raw Evaluator to spoil the career and future of a talented student when he does not know the solution of question paper himself which actually happens.
 Proper care needs to be taken in Compilation /consolidation and marking codes of roll number to relevant answer papers. A bit of carelessness by a raw hand spoils the career of a talented student.
 Mishandling of answer sheets needs to be taken care of. It would have been better if selection of examiners/inspectors is of a particulars is made in a prudent manner so that discipline is made and copying is avoided at all costs.
 Formulation of Result Gazette is published only after it is thoroughly checked at least thrice to tally the marks and other particulars of student.
 In case of any doubt, re-evaluation and Xerox copy of answer sheets is provided to student to clear his doubt and transparency is maintained to uphold the previous and prestige of JKBOSE.
  We hope that BOSE authorities will uphold the past practice to enable meritorious to prove their mettle and clear the doubts of honesty and accuracy apprehended by students / parents about Grading BOSE.
