Link pvt colleges with KU: Pandey

Srinagar, Jan 14: The Commissioner Secretary Finance Sudhanshu Pandey on Friday said e-governance would only be complete if all the private colleges of the valley are linked with University of Kashmir.
Panday while speaking to the team of IT professionals from Directorate of Information Technology & Support System (IT & SS) of KU suggested that IT professionals should integrate their web based services with the Khidmat centers which are coming up in large numbers to make their services and the system broad based.
The KU Vice-Chancellor Prof Riyaz Punjabi, who chaired the special session, said that through our e-governance we want to bridge the gap between academics and industry through the establishment of Advanced Centre of Information Technology. “It will also include development of the necessary support structure necessary for the development of the IT Industry,” he added.
He thanked commissioner secretary for his keen interest in KU affairs especially the e-governance system.
Director IT Er (Dr) Mehrajudin Dar highlighted the achievements of the University on e-governance front and the road map ahead.
