Jamait-Ulema-i-Hind expresses concern over ‘new face of terrorism’
New Delhi, Jan 17: The General Secretary of Jamait-Ulema-i-Hind (JUH) Maulana Mahmood Madani has expressed deep concern over emergence of “new face of terrorism.”
Madani feared that this might widen the gap between the minority and majority communities and take the nation away from the path of development if not dealt in proper manner.
In view of Swami Aseemanad’s confession and his volunteer insistence on involvement in several bomb blasts, there remains no viable reason to continue detention of those belonging to the minority community implicated on the same charges, said Madani.
The JuH General Secretary while questioning the existing system of investigations said, “Youth from minority community are being held for no fault of theirs, and charges have been framed against them.”
He demanded stern punishment for the officials involved in booking Muslim youth under flimsy charges.
The JUH General Secretary demanded compensation for Muslim youth lodged in jail on fabricated charges.
Madani asserted that his organization was opposed to link terrorism with any religion since such move while attracting help of members of the concerned community weakens the struggle.
