JKLF (R) welcomes Pak proposal

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karatey and senior–vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir on Tuesday welcomed the Pakistan proposal of “involving Kashmiris in the talks aimed at successfully resolving the issue.”
In a statement, Front leaders said “The US think tank has also asked India to start talks with Pakistan on Kashmir.” They said there were clear contradictions in the statements of Union Home secretary, G K Pillai and the army chief on the reduction of armed forces in Kashmir.
They claimed that the peace would not be restored in the sub-continent until Kashmir issue was resolved in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of its people.
The leaders urged the pro-freedom leadership to demonstrate unity and support and encourage one another’s pro-movement programmes.
