Drug de-addiction camp in Shahr-e-Khaas

Srinagar, Jan 1: The police on Saturday organized drug-de addiction camp in Bachi Darwaza area of Rainwari in Shahr-e-Khaas.
A police handout said 112 patients including 66 addicts were treated by doctors from Police de-addiction centre, police hospital, divisional mental health office, directorate of health services and a psychiatrist from government psychiatric hospital.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, deputy superintendent of police PCR, Qazi Parvez said this was fourth drug-de addiction camp organized by the police.
“On directions of IGP Kashmir this initiative was taken up and we are planning more such camps in the future,” he said.
A delegation of prominent citizens including the Shahr-e-Khaas traders hailed police endeavor and said such functions be held in other Old City areas as well, a police official said.
