India, Pak exchange lists of nuclear installations
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Islamabad, Jan 1: India and Pakistan Saturday exchanged lists of their nuclear installations and facilities in line with a two-decade-old pact prohibiting attacks on atomic assets despite lingering tensions over the issue of terrorism in the wake of the Mumbai attacks.
Pakistan's foreign ministry handed over a list of the country's nuclear facilities to an officer of the Indian High Commission at the Foreign Office here, officials told PTI.
The Indian side handed over its list to an officer of the Pakistan High Commission at the external affairs ministry in New Delhi.
The officials said the two sides also exchanged lists of prisoners held in each other's jails under the provisions of a separate agreement.
The two countries are required to exchange lists of prisoners twice a year.
