Lacking sincerity

This refers to India’s foreign secretary Nirupama Rao’s statement that Pakistan was pursuing terror as a state policy. I wonder how New Delhi leadership can be so dubious. On one hand Delhi is contemplating to hold dialogue with Pakistan and on the other the country is accusing Pakistan of pursuing terror. This clearly shows that India lacks sincerity in resolving all issues with Pakistan, including the Kashmir issue. New Delhi has been thriving on war of words to stall the dialogue process and that is what happened after Mumbai attacks. Otherwise an attack like Mumbai should not have stalled the dialogue process between the two countries. India seems to be buckling under the pressure of opposition parties. And to keep them happy, Congress is delaying resolution of issues with Pakistan. In this atmosphere of hostility, no dialogue is going to be successful.
