Ajmer, Jan 22: The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad today took right-wing activist Swami Aseemanand, an accused in the Samjhauta Express train blast case, in its custody in connection with the 2007 Ajmer Dargah attack case.
 The ATS brought Aseemanand, a member of Abhinav Bharat group said to be behind the Malegaon blast in Maharashtra in 2008, here from Haryana after an Ajmer court had issued a production warrant on January 18.
 Aseemanand was in the custody of National Investigation Agency in Panchkula in Haryana before the ATS took him into its detention.
 He was produced before Judicial Magistrate Vikram Singh who remanded him to the ATS custody till February five.
 "We will interrogate him tomorrow," ATS Additional Superintendent of Police Satyendra Singh told PTI.
 Aseemanand is an accused in the Dargah blast in which three people were killed.
 On January 15, a Panchkula court recorded the statement of Aseemanand in connection with the Samjhauta blast case. The blast in the train, linking India and Pakistan, in Haryana's Panipat district had left 68 people dead in February 2007.
 Aseemanand was arrested by the CBI on November 19 last year for his alleged involvement in the Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad that left nine dead. He was earlier living under an assumed name in Haridwar.
 His name had cropped up during probe into the Malegaon blast when the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad recovered the number of Swami's driver from Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, another Abhinav Bharat member and an accused in the Malegaon case.
