Shamim chairs interactive sessions

Srinagar, Jan 24: “Lack of self confidence among women is proving to be one of the biggest impediments towards the path of progress and prosperity for women,” Chairperson, State Women’s Commission, Shamim Firdous Monday said at Kashmir University.
 She said it while interacting with students and female teachers of the KU and Islamic University Awantipora during a special session there.
 Shamim said  oppression against women in various forms was “spreading like cancer.”
 Director Academic Staff College Prof Mehraj-ud-din, Director Women Studies Centre and DSW KU Prof Nilofar Khan , Prof SM Afzal Qadri, Chief Proctor Prof Muhammad Afzal Zargar and Dr Fareed Parbati were also present on the occasion
