Grading system introduced by JKBOSE has proved to be a disaster for 10th class students. The BOSE has played an immature role in declaring the 10th class results. Thus it has played with the emotions of thousands of students. The mockery is that the Minster for Education is quite content and happy with the way it was done. Some anomalies I observed in the entire issue are: Grading system was not required if the existing system was working fine. It is erratic and has created confusion. Some meritorious students, including the topper, have been given E2 grade in one or two subjects, which is uncalled for. Re-evaluation, providing Xerox copy of answer sheets has been abandoned by the JKBOSE , thus meritorious students are deprived of their legitimate right to cross check their evaluation. It is hoped that the authorities will consider rechecking of papers where E2 has been awarded to satisfy the aspirants.
