BSNL tells subscribers, settle broadband usage disputes

Srinagar, Jan 27: Aimed to settle disputes in respect of high broadband usage bills under ‘Samadhan’ Scheme, the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Kashmir has announced a Special Relief Scheme for its customers, Assistant General Manager (PR), BSNL, said in a statement.
The customers, under the scheme, will have the option to switch to any or unlimited home plan at Rs 750 per month, and the company will waive off disputed bills by charging as per the new opted option in accordance with the provision of the scheme.
The three options under the scheme are:
Option-1: “The customers may choose any limited usage Broadband plan of higher FMC. The customers’ disputed bills under the earlier plan may be settled as per the New Limited Usage plan.”
Option-2: “The customer can select any of the nine Unlimited Home plans to get the corresponding rebate on the excess usage of disputed bills, starting from BB Home UL 499 to BB Home Combo ULD 1700 and the rebate will from 5GB to 30 GB respectively.”
Option-3: “This plan is applicable for Business customers only and the customer can select any of the 10 Unlimited General Plans to get the corresponding rebate on the excess usage of disputed bills, Starting from BBG UL 2150 to BBG Combo ULD 15000 and the rebate will from 30GB to 250 GB respectively.”
He said the benefit can be availed by a customer only if he/she commits to remain in the chosen plan either for a period of six months after the aforesaid settlement, by paying six months FMC in advance or for a period of twelve months after the aforesaid settlement, by payment of ten months FMC as annual payment in advance.
The customers can choose any plan and the bills will be settled as per the new chosen plan.
