Afaq Qadri is Interm president FCIK

Srinagar, Jan 28: The executive council of Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir, has nominated Syed Afaq Qadri as Interm President FCIK.
The council also nominated a team of nine members to assist him to take care of the affairs of the organization till new body is in place.
In a statement here today the FCIK said after successfully completing the term of office ‘2009-2011’ under the leadership of Syed Shakeel Qalander, its executive council at a meeting under the chairmanship of protem speaker Manzoor Ahmad Qadri unanimously nominated Qadir as interm president FCIK along with a team of nine members to assist him.
The role of Qalander as president FCIK was highly appreciated and acknowledged by the house.
The Executive Council also expressed satisfaction with the working of other members of administrative council. The council also unanimously constituted a five member Election Commission to be headed by A M Khan for conducting fresh elections of the Executive Council and Administrative Council for 2011-2013. The commission shall comprise of Kumarji Wanchoo, S Mumtaz Geelani, Ghulam Mohiuddin and Nasir Bukhari.
The process of election will be completed by April 15 and all the constitutional bodies and committees shall be in place by the same date.
It said immediately thereafter an Annual General Body meeting will be held to carry out the constitutional requirements including oath ceremony, farewell and welcome to newly elected bodies. Further, the speaker expressed his satisfaction with the working of Executive Council and also placed on record his vote of thanks to all the Executive Councilors for their co¬operation extended to the chair and keeping the tradition of smooth functioning of the house.
The speaker dissolved the Executive Council and other bodies and committees to pave way for “fair and fresh elections for the term 2011-2013.”
