Uncovered manhole irks Bagh-e-Mehtab
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Jan 28: The residents of Bagh-e-Mehtab are up in arms against the authorities for keeping a manhole uncovered at a vital crossing there.
The suburb residents said many a driver had a narrow escape when their vehicle got stuck in the manhole on the colony main road.
“Sometime back a truck got struck and finally a crane had to be called to get it out,” said Azra, a local.
“It’s a criminal negligence on the part of the officials that they have kept manhole uncovered at such a crucial site even as the same can prove fatal,” the residents said.
They appealed the District Development Commissioner Budgam Muhammad Rafi to look into the matter.
