Dalgate fire victims await relief

Srinagar, Jan 30: The Dalgate fire victims whose dwelling were gutted in a devastating fire past month have accused the government of failing to provide them any relief.
The victims said they were finding it difficult to live under the open sky in these chilly conditions.
“All our belonging were gutted to cinder but nobody bothered to come to our rescue from the government side,” complained Abdul Rasheed Bhat, owner of a prominent news agency in the area, whose 5-storeyed houses was gutted on December 14.
Pertinently, on the fateful day at least seven residential houses were gutted in the tourist hub of Dalgate.
