WKDA holds sit-in at Toronto

Toronto, Jan 30: The World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance (WKDA) held a sit-in here in front of the Pearson Convention Centre to highlight the situation in Kashmir.
According to an e-mailed statement, the sit-in was led by Farooq Papa, head of WKDA, who asked the world to take notice of the simmering anger in Kashmir. A WKDA spokesman Habib Yousafzai said, “The new generation of Kashmiris is simmering with extreme anger and frustration. The world must take notice of human right abuses across the board in all regions where repression is used to deny the right of freedom.”
