BJP hits back at Malik
JK INDIA’S INTEGRAL PART: JAITLEY
Srinagar Jan 5: The BJP today hit back at JKLF chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, saying they would go on with their program to hoist tri-color at Lal Chowk here. Malik on Tuesday had dared BJP to go on with the plan saying “We will see who will hoist which flag.”
Senior BJP leader, Chaman Lal Gupta while talking to a vernacular news agency KNS said, “Who is he (Malik) to stop us? If you have the guts then stop us from hoisting the flag. He has no courage to contest elections, he can’t harm the elected leaders. Hooliganism will not work with us.”
Gupta said these “so called” leaders should understand that their rhetoric had failed to draw support of people.
Earlier leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley told reporters in New Delhi that "BJP maintains that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. We are going to carry the national flag not in one state but through several states. This is part of a campaign for national sovereignty and solidarity," Jaitley said, adding that the yatra was not aimed at inciting violence,” FLAG HOISTING CONTROVERSY
