On Kashmir Inc persuasion, JK Bank extends spl package for handicraft sector

Srinagar, Jan 5: On the persuasion of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the J&K Bank has agreed to extend the period of its schemes under Special Package for Handicrafts Sector up to March 31, 2001.
The chamber in a statement here said the Bank in a meeting with the Joint Advisory Committee KCCI agreed to extend the period of these schemes. “Several issues related to trade, commerce and industry in the Valley were discussed at the meeting,” it said.
The schemes whose timeframe has been extended up to March 31, 2011, include J&K Bank Handicrafts Sustenance Finance (Outside Tripartite Agreement); and J&K Bank Craftsmen Livelihood Finance.
Pertinently the J&K Bank Dastkaar Finance Scheme has been agreed will continue beyond March 31, 2011.
“It was suggested in the meeting that the KCCI will create awareness and provide counseling to the members of the trading community and artisans/ manufacturers about the bank schemes in which the J&K Bank shall provide all possible assistance.”
