Srinagar: The Government Degree College for Women, Islamabad (Anantnag) principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammad Shafi today launched the website www.womencollegeanatnag.nic.in.  Addressing the students, Dr Muhammad Shafi said the website was developed by the BCA students Zeeshan Ameen, Asia Gulzar and Malik Soleh.  “The website involved no financial obligation and is being hosted by the National Informatics Centre,” he said and hailed the students over the achievement.

2 held with charas
Srinagar: Police in Bijbehara have seized 4.5 kilogram of charas and have arrested two persons. According to the police, the duo has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Teli and Ghulam Nabi Wani of Nowbugh, Veeri.

Dilafroza Qazi bereaved
Srinagar: The management and staff of the Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, SSM College of Engineering and Technology have expressed grief over the demise of Haji Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, father of SSM vice-chairperson, Dilafroza Qazi. In a condolence meeting with HoD Dr. N A Shah, the participants sympathized with the bereaved family particularly to Mrs and Mr (Dr.) Qazi Shabir Ahmad–patrons of SSM College, Mrs and Mr Bilal Ahmad and Mrs and Mr Masood Ahmad Qadri. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Postpone programme: JD (U)
