Batamaloo gets new water supply line

Srinagar, Jan 8: Following a sustained campaign by Greater Kashmir over the water scarcity in Batamaloo, the government has sanctioned the augmentation scheme with Public Health Engineering on Friday starting work on the improved supply line to the congested area.
 Executive Engineer PHE, Rafiq Ahmed Malik said the new line being installed was of 250 MM diameter and would substantially improve the water supply in the area.
 Meanwhile, the locals particularly the head of area welfare committee, Abdul Kabir aka Kabali have hailed the endeavour.
