Khyber hospital starts specialty cardiac care unit

Srinagar, Jan 8: A team of doctors from Fortis Escorts hospital, New Delhi on Saturday introduced sophisticated procedures like “PTCA and CABG for the management of heart attack” at Khyber Hospital Srinagar, a hospital spokesman said.
He said the team led by renowned cardiologist Prof Dr Upendra Kaul performed the first procedure at the hospital in the City.
“We are happy to bring this facility at Khyber hospital for the people of Jammu and Kashmir… With this facility made available at their doorsteps, the people can now get world class medical facility at affordable cost,” said Dr Upendra Kaul, who is also Executive Director - Academics & Research(Cardiology), Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute.
